Passive Income: from EUR 2,400 per month for the main applicant (400% of the 2026 IPREM)
The main applicant must show stable passive income of at least EUR 2,400 per month, which is 400% of the 2026 IPREM (frozen at EUR 600 per month). Each dependent adds 100% of the IPREM, about EUR 600 per month. Illustratively, that is roughly EUR 3,000 per month for a couple, EUR 3,600 for a family of three, and EUR 4,200 for a family of four. Figures are net.
Financial Means: about EUR 28,800 per year, which savings can satisfy in place of income
Instead of monthly income, applicants can show equivalent savings held in liquid funds: about EUR 28,800 per year for the main applicant, plus about EUR 7,200 per year per dependent. That is roughly EUR 36,000 for a couple, EUR 43,200 for a family of three, and EUR 50,400 for a family of four. Consulates increasingly expect the full amount to be visible, supported by 6 to 12 months of bank statements.
